Introductory Sessions
Are you interested in trying your hand at shooting? Asset Firearm and Crossbow Club run regular introductory sessions for people to come and try before becoming a member. No licence required! You will be directly supervised by one of our licensed and experienced Range Officers or Firearm Instructors. We supply everything that you need to have a safe and enjoyable introduction to target shooting.
Introductory Sessions are available for people to come and try:
- Handgun Target Shooting – MOST POPULAR
- Rifle Target Shooting
- Shotgun Clay Target Shooting
- Crossbow Target Shooting
Participating in one of our introductory sessions is simple:
- Licensed and unlicensed shooters are welcome – unlicensed shooters will need to complete a Form 33 Declaration that they are a fit and proper person to use firearms
- Anyone from 11 years and older can participate; people under 18 need to provide parental consent or be accompanied by a responsible adult
- Sessions are conducted at an Approved Range, where you will receive a safety briefing and basic firearms training from our experienced staff
- All you need to bring is photo ID and wear suitable clothing; we will provide safety gear, firearms, ammunition, targets and anything else that you need
- The introductory session will run for approx. 1 hour
